Daniel Giordani is a handpan player, percussionist, rhythm pedagogue and author. Together with his partner Yela Brodesser, he heads the "Rhytmotop – Institute for Rhythm Experience" in the Austrian Waldviertel. He was born in Bolzano/South Tyrol in 1977 and studied cultural and social anthropology at the University of Vienna with a focus on ethnomusicology. During numerous research and study trips to West Africa, he learned the Djembe. Further travels to North Africa, India and Central America gave him an insight into many other percussion music styles. In recent years, the handpan has become more and more the main instrument. For many years he has been a member of various bands and music projects and gives workshops and training seminars for children, young people, adults, educators, etc.
